What does the course cover?
Experience for yourself what working at a real venue is really like... hear from the professionals about stories of rock'n'roll on the road and the sweat and hard work that goes into putting on a top performance!

You will have a month to:
  • Organise a gig
  • Book the performers
  • Hire staff
  • Create publicity
  • Run a gig in front of a live audience
Do I need any previous training?
No. All you need is a passion for music and possibly some ear plugs!
How long does it last?
Various times according to the size of the event and the venue but usually 40 hours.
How much does it cost?
It is free.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. The course is accredited with a Level 2 Award in Event Planning.
What benefits does this course offer?
You will be taught with unique access to the real working environments that are serviced by Eventcover Productions and the Head of Steam group. You will be looked after by qualified staff with vast experience of this industry.
Who are the Tutors?
Ross Lewis - experienced tour manager. Ross currently works with Beth Jeans Houghton, Frankie and the Heartstrings as well as looking after the technical requirements at Cluny 2.

Gareth Stones - has worked as Crew at the Newcastle Arena and Stadium of Light, he has trained staff across the country particularly for the NEC group.

Ben Yeowart
- experienced promoter and events manager. Ben currently promotes events at the Cluny as well as working arranging the Ashington Arts Festival.
When and where does it take place?
Various times and venues depending on the event and venue but generally 40 hours.
